Quilting the Triangles

I've started the quilting, this is going to take a bit. . . I still think I can get it done. . . the next several days will be interesting :)  Not a long post, just pics:

I'm thinking micro stippling between the pedals to make that flower pop. . . Do you think a micro paisley would be too busy? I could do that faster than stippling. . . quite honestly, my stippling sux.  No really, it does.

Yes, using the Fine Line Rulers, I did the flower with the small arc ruler.

I'm improving as I go. . . this back and forth squiggle is not bad to do for a micro design ;) I tried pebbling first. . . I ripped it out. . . I can say without a doubt - ripping out pebbling is NOT fun!

I just love the texture quilting gives a top.
I was going to do straight lines at the half diamonds. . . it looked bad. . . more ripping. . .

  4. wow amazing quilting. You ripped out pebbles? Oh bless your heart! The lines look great and I agree, such a wonderful texture.

  5. What creativity you are showing since you got those rulers! Your quilting on this is absolutely gorgeous!

  6. I love this!! It's looking fantastic.

  7. This looks amazing! My triangles will not be done on time, but I'm loving seeing how others are quilting so I'll have some ideas when I catch up : P

  8. Gorgeous! I love what you have done so far.

  9. Wow! It looks great. I just got my Fine Line rulers last week (the straight ones) but I haven't done much with them yet. So far I've fiddled around with a practice piece and I have to say I'm quite impressed with them.

  10. Looks really lovely so far, love the flower and the texture of the back and forth quilting.

  11. Hi! I'm so glad you made a comment on my blog because it made me click on your link. And I saw the way you quilted the hexagone. I have a hexagone quilt top done and just didn't know yet how to quilt it. Seeing your flower and swirling pattern gives me ideas.
I don't know about adding paisleys on yours... I think it looks great right now.
Thank you for stopping at my place and thank you for the ideas! :-)

  12. oh WOW! your quilting really gives the triangles a whole different look. Amazing! and the perseverance in ripping all of that out is really admirable. bravo to you! btw- I think a micro paisley would look great. since it's in such a small area, I think it would probably have the same feel as a stipple. I have a tough time believing though, that your stippling is not as fantastic as the rest of your quilting, ha!

Thanks so much for linking up to Needle and Thread Thursday!
