Fractured Log Cabin

Well folks, the blocks are done.  I finished 5 and then decided I was going to do different blocks in the middle top row, outsides of second row, middle of third row and outsides of fourth row. . . And then after wasting most of a day going back and forth and cutting and sewing (and wasting) several blocks and partial blocks, I decided to do the same style blocks. . . Oh the pains of indecision and middle of the night OMG what if I did. . . . :) Does that ever happen to you? Sometimes when it happens to me, it turns out to be the best thing since sliced bread. . . this time -!  Oh well, it was an adventure :)

This picture was taken inside.  I'm going to put this together using QAYG or I would have waited until it was sewn together :) So here it is, even though the picture doesn't really show the true colors.

So now I need to figure out how to put the left over fabric together to make the backings for the blocks :) I'm kind of excited about doing QAYG again.  I did this quilt that way:

Blogged about here.
I am also excited about the fact that I have received the remaining rulers to the Fine Line Rulers set (first blogged about here and posted an update on the quilting here).  Oh yes I did! I was so sad that I hadn't just ordered the entire set and decided I could not live with the other sizes :) I also found out that Janome makes a ruler foot for the convertible FRQ foot that comes with the 6600P and the 7700!!! Oh yeah, you know I ordered that too and it is on the foot and ready to go! :)  I'm going to work on the white piece today.  I'm hoping to have a finish to post tomorrow!

OK, I'm off to put together backing pieces and play with free motion quilting some more :)

Linking up with Kelly over at My Quilt Infatuation for NTT and Gemma at Pretty Bobbins for I Quilt.  If you are here from there, welcome! And if you haven't visited these awesome parties, head on over and check them out!

Until next time, keep on quilting!!
