Happy New Year!

I debated whether to post pictures of all of my quilts for 2013 and decided, why not? Add some eye candy to the blog!  So here are all of my finishes for 2013 and they just happen to be all of the quilt finishes so far in my quilty journey :) I will be posting on each of them in future posts :) Here it goes:

This one, my first with many mistakes resides on my bed:

This one was made for my husband:

This one was made for my daughter:

This one was made "just because" :)

Minky blanket made for grand niece:

Made for my dad for his 84th birthday :)

Have not decided where this one will reside permanently:

Baby quilt made for Lucy:

Baby quilt made for Olivia:

Commissioned quilt made for a very supportive friend :)

Made for my nephew:

For another nephew:

This one does not have a home yet :)

On a roll, for another nephew:

Baby Quilt:

For MIL:

Commissioned by the same sweet friend for her husband for Christmas :)

This one went to another nephew:

For a niece:

This is a picture of the quilt prior to binding.  It is finished but I don't have a picture of the finished product yet.... This one was made to keep the hubbins warm :) and was my final finish in 2013!

20 finishes! I'd say not so bad since I just started quilting in May :) I think I am hooked LOL I have many already planned for 2014.  My first finish for the year is currently being quilted, the next two are already planned.... yep, I'm hooked!  Here's to a very productively quilty 2014!

    1. Thanks! The inspiration came from The Quilting Edge. The tutorial can be found here http://www.thequiltingedge.com/search/label/Tutorial%2FWonky%20Curves. I of course put my own spin on it!

    1. Thanks! As a pretty new quilter I find it so helpful to experiment, continue what I enjoyed and learn from the things that proved to be not so enjoyable ;)

    1. Creative Grids Split Seconds Ruler - gentle curves so it really wasn't that difficult to cut or sew but gives an amazing look! Happy new year to you too!
